Constant Conversations
Monday, August 20, 2012

Borrowed Jak's Kikomachine Komix collection. This is one of the things that have been helping me relax and get rid of stress. :) Rakenrol!

Another thing keeping me from going insane over all the academic stress I am going through is, of course, music. :) i've been listening to a lot of Passion Pit lately. My love for their sound was just resurrected because of their song Constant Conversations. Here is the St. Lucia remix that I love too:

A lot of things have happened in the last two weeks that I was away from my blog. My life has been quite stressful (but still happy on the side :D). I've been mostly busy with my academics. But really, when I think about the last two weeks, I don't even know what I really did. It's all such a blur. I blame lack of sleep and water consumption (no jokes here).

But anyway, just last week, something sad and unfortunate happened. The mom of one of my best friends passed away last Wednesday. I don't have a lot to say about it right now, but Myka did mention it in her two previous posts here and here

Well, just thought to update a bit here. I hope I'll get to post more in the duration of our long weekend. :)

it's only just begun...

Celine and I during a Smart Communications lecture @UP.        With Jen, taking photos & tweeting during SocSci

Last Saturday in Bon Appetea and also had a spontaneous foodtrip with Shinji and Pauline!

With Jeck and Myka on a shuttle ride home together. :)

Last Wednesday. After classes got suspended, I went to MOA with my brother, Myka, and her blockmate, Gertie. Afterwards, I met up with Pam and Shinji and we had a Bon Appetea date. :)
Jak's doodles on the Bon App wall. It's really hard to miss.
French macarons!
These red velvet cupcakes were absolutely delicious! Thanks to Shinji for treating us to some of these. :)
So, this is what I've been up to lately, more or less. More on the less side though. I've been more busy with school related stuff than I make it obvious. We have upcoming reports, running assignments, long tests, exams and quizzes to study for, events to take note of, org responsibilities, and more. Of course, you can add weather related problems to the stress I'm experiencing, as the weather has been quite stormy lately. But the upside of that is it raises the chances of class suspensions. You would not want to commute in Manila in rainy weather at all.

Right now, I should be studying for a long test on History this coming Monday, plus I should be working on a write up as part of my application for my org's newspaper. I also have other org work that I have to pass on Monday. But here I am, blogging away, turning away from my responsibilities. What can I say, old habits just really die hard...

P.S. First photo is from Celine, the second one is from Jen, and the fourth one is from Pauline. The rest are mine. :)

"Time is the fire in which we burn."
Saturday, July 14, 2012
I have no idea why, but I just seem to do wacky faces impulsively. :P

Time just seems to fly very quickly. I didn't realize we'd grow up so fast. Or maybe I was just too busy having fun everyday to care.

Last July 5, Thursday, was my best friend Myka's birthday. She didn't have anything special planned for her special day, but that didn't really hinder any of us from having a little bit of fun.
On the day of her birthday, Myka and I were to meet at her school, where I would pick her up. she intentionally cut her last class so we could see each other. Unfortunately, I picked her up a bit late since I had an org related event to attend. But anyway, when I got there, we decided to hang around the University Mall for a while before catching a shuttle home together.

Bloggers United 3 + an Epic Rainy Photoshoot
Monday, June 4, 2012
Let me recount to you my epic Saturday adventures. ;)

(WARNING: This is an extremely long and photo heavy post. I apologize in advance. :P)
So last Saturday, I was all set and ready to attend Bloggers United 3 and have a mini photo shoot as well for Ate Trisha's (who is Pam's sister) new clothing business. Our morning started on an unexpected delay, but nevertheless we set off for The Fort to meet up with Pam and Jeck for our little shoot...

a bunch of crazy and a dash of fun
Friday, April 13, 2012
Just a day spent with my most amazing, wonderful, and crazy best friends for life. And no, I don't care how corny that just sounded. :P
We were actually supposed to go swimming, but then it seemed timing wasn't that good because, for one, we were broke (well, three of us at least) and also, we had no transportation. So we ended up at my place and just hung out, caught up a bit with each other, watched a movie, ate a lot of pancit canton, and took lots of pictures.

Lots and lots of burst! :))

Yup, this is quite a late post. Just a few photos from our graduation pictorial last March 5 that I wanted to share. Myka has already blogged about it here.

After our pictorial, me and a few of my friends went to eat out at ChicBoy and just hang out at BF. :)

TURONES!
Shinji, Bea, me, Melody, Joy, Pau, Angeli, Jak
with my other best friend Pam :) (my loose striped tee looks weird here. :P)
Our blurred wacky shot
Another addition to our last high school memories. I hope college won't mess up our schedules too badly so we can still hang out. No matter how doubtful that might be, I'm still hoping. :))
Graduation is just four days away from now. :)

Just me and my best friends goofing around for the camera.
This was taken last December, and since I saw them sitting around in my files, I thought I'd post them. :)

rather speechless...
Thursday, January 19, 2012
I was supposed to blog about this yesterday, but I guess I forgot about it. But anyway...
The USTET (University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test) results came out yesterday, and a lot of my classmates were rather antsy about seeing their results. A few were disappointed, others happy. I had seen my result when there had been a said 'leakage', so I wasn't fretting about it any longer.
The rest of the day went by almost quickly, as we only reviewed for our upcoming exams. So when I got home, I didn't expect to be greeted by the release of the UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admissions Test) results.
But, the funny and sweet thing was that my friend congratulated and told me first that I passed UP! I hadn't even begun to grasp that the results were out. I was so taken by surprise I almost squeaked to my mom that I had passed.

To be honest, I never really thought I would pass UP, being that they receive so many applicants every year, and only pass a small percentage of students. But then there was my name on the list, and I was genuinely surprised to see I made it.
But, the overwhelming feeling I had wasn't just because of the result. What made me really happy was seeing how proud my friends were of me. I didn't expect them to be so sweet about it, and I was deeply touched. Even when there were times I doubted my abilities and my chances, they were always there to tell me that I should stop being silly and that I could make it. And of course, they were right. Now I feel like crying. :))
I can still remember how I was a nervous mess last year, worrying about the arrival of January and all about the results. Since I only took exams in DLSU, ADMU, UST and UP, I was so worried I wouldn't pass into any of the Big 4 schools.
Now, I feel so blessed. Although I didn't get into my dream school, Ateneo, I can't thank God enough for everything else. It's all so much more than what I asked for. I feel like I don't deserve them, but here they are. And besides, 3 out of 4 isn't bad at all. ;)
